The ultimate in beautiful music for your
wedding--whether large or small, indoors or outdoors, a Harp
adds elegance to the most special day of your life. Victoria
Hughes is experienced with weddings of all religions, and
is happy to consult with you regarding your musical selections.
Prelude Music: One half-hour
of music while your guests are assembling, allowing them to
enjoy beautiful music before the ceremony begins.
Pre-Processional: Music of your
choosing for everyone processing before the bride, including
the bridesmaids, flower girls, ring bearers, as well as special
music for the parents to be seated to.
Processional: The traditional
Bridal March for the bride, or select from one of the many
alternate wedding marches, or your favorite song.
Solo: Choose a special song
to be played for the lighting of the Unity candle, communion,
or during another reflective part of your ceremony.
Recessional: The traditional
Wedding March to walk out to, or choose an alternate march
or favorite piece.
Postlude: Festive music for
your guests while they disassemble, or toast you with champagne.
All ceremonies and receptions can be performed on solo harp,
or for larger gatherings, consider the Victorian Duo, a beautiful
combination of either harp and flute, or harp and violin.
Victoria can also accompany vocalists.
Weddings of different
denominations
 |
Victoria Hughes is very familiar with the Roman Catholic
liturgy for Wedding and Funeral masses. She performs
the full range of traditional Catholic songs, such as
Ave Maria, Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Ode to
Joy, Panis Angelicus, On Eagle’s Wings,
Be Not Afraid, City of God, One Bread One Body, How
Beautiful, and many others.
The beautiful and very special combination of harp and
voice is also available. Performing with a Catholic
operatic soprano and cantor, and working from the Catholic
music publication called Gather, together they also
perform all the responses and acclamations needed for
a full mass. She is happy to consult with your priest
at any time.

Special Music for other denominations, such
as hymns for Protestant services and Hebrew songs for Jewish
services are also available.
Music from different cultures can also be performed; for instance,
Victoria has performed Celtic music for people of Irish descent
or origin, and island music for a Hawaiian bride. Music for
a recent Japanese ceremony included a special song for the
parent’s processional. At another wedding, a Filipino
song was played for the customary veil and cord portion of
the ceremony. Requests are, again, always welcomed!
The Victorian Duo
For the ultimate in elegance, one of the most melodious combinations
of sounds is that of Harp and Flute. The Victorian Duo can
perform at your wedding or special event. This is especially
appropriate for larger gatherings or receptions. |
